Care Partners/Care Givers are family and friends who are involved in the care and well-being of an individual with a health-related issue.
Greater Charleston Parkinson Disease Care Partner Support Group meetings are self-help discussion groups for care partners only. The purpose of the group is to share information and provide support to those who have the common challenge of providing care for and support to an individual living with Parkinson’s Disease.
The Care Partner/Giver Support Group Meetings are designed to:
• Share information on available resources that benefit the quality of life of persons with Parkinson’s Disease and of their care partner/giver.
• Provide a community for networking and camaraderie.
• Provide a safe environment to discuss common concerns where confidentiality and privacy are always respected. What is said in the group stays within the group.
